Homeowners associations (HOAs) are integral to maintaining the quality of life in many communities. Serving as a committee member in a homeowners association is a volunteer role that provides residents with the opportunity to contribute directly to the well-being and governance of their community.

  6. Meetings: Committees keep minute of their meeting and submit their recommendations to the board in written form to ensure that the recommendations are included in any report to the board. The minutes must be provided to the board of directors to be reviewed in the meeting. The committee meetings should be open to members of the association and should be published with a date, time and location.

  7. Ethical Conduct: Integrity and transparency are key. Committee members must avoid conflicts of interest and ensure that their decisions are made in the best interest of the entire community, not just a select few.
